Open pit mine operators now have a new source for the highest quality dippers for cable shovels as well as for hydraulic shovels. In collaboration with our sister company, Castech Metallurgy, and our team of engineers and technicians, we can supply custom designed dippers to meet your specific mining operations and maintenance. Whatever your needs, we can quickly design and assemble a custom dipper from 12 to 80 cubic yards.

For mine operators who wish, we are still offering completely cast manganese dippers. However, the majority of our dippers are cast-welded assemblies of alloy steels. With the assistance of 3D modeling, the precision of our assemblies are unequaled.

DIPPER EXCHANGE PROGRAM
For many years now, Plessitech performs complete dipper retrofit for many different mines. The purpose of this program is to allow each mine to always have operational dippers on all their shovels without having to worry about retrofits and spare parts. The program is designed so that each shovel can receive a retrofitted dipper following an established schedule based on their expected time in operation. Plessitech always delivers dippers to the mine on time to avoid any production losses.
When a retrofitted dipper is delivered to the mine site, Plessitech returns the worn dipper to its facilities to proceed with the retrofit and return it to the mine for the next dipper change. Also, Plessitech offers technical service on the mine site on a regular schedule including regular dipper inspections (on-site) for optimum maintenance and scheduling.
REPLACEMENT PARTS
Plessitech also produces the usual replacement parts for dippers and shovels : lip assemblies, lip-front assemblies, lower doors and complete doors, door latch mechanism components (latch lever and latch bar), liners, bushings and pins, track shoes, drive tumblers, idlers, racking, etc.

ABRASION RESISTANT LINER PLATES – LINER PLUSTM
- Cast to match the shape of the dipper floor or the inside corners of the dipper.
- Can be welded in place.
- The inserts in the liners are cast with our abrasion resistant alloy CF-140 in a base material of hardened steel.
- Longer life as compare to any other type of liners.
- Weight reduction is possible as compared to other materials as it is possible to reduce the thickness and still maintain an equal or longer life.
